Privacy policy
Last updated: July 15, 2026
NMBR is a service of First Client LLC, doing business as NMBR. This policy covers getnmbr.com and the NMBR browser extension. It explains what we collect about our customers, what we handle about the people our customers look up, and the choices both groups have. Our approach to sourcing is described on the data sourcing page.
Information we collect from customers
- Account details. Your name, email address, and sign-in credentials. Passwords are hashed by our authentication provider; if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture.
- Billing information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store full card numbers. We keep transaction references, amounts, and your credit balance history.
- Usage information. The lookups you run (including the profile URL and name of the person requested), credits spent, and technical data such as IP address, browser type, timestamps, and request logs used for security and troubleshooting.
- Messages. Anything you send us in support or feedback emails.
What the extension can and cannot see
The NMBR extension reads the profile page you are viewing only to identify the person you want to look up, and it sends that person's public identity (name, company, and profile URL) to our servers only when you click a Find button. It does not track your browsing, read other tabs, or collect your credentials for any third-party site.
Information about people our customers look up
When a customer runs a lookup, we receive contact information about the requested person from licensed data providers: their public professional identity (name, role, company, and profile URL) and contact details, meaning email addresses and phone numbers. Phone numbers may include direct dials and mobile numbers, and an email address or number returned for someone may be one they also use personally. Contacts a customer unlocks are stored in that customer's account.
We process this information on the basis of our customers' legitimate interest in reaching specific people for professional, one-to-one outreach, and we honor objections: anyone can be permanently removed through our opt-out page, no account required. Every result is checked against that suppression list before it is revealed. We do not collect sensitive categories of data, such as health, financial, or biometric information.
How we use information
To provide and improve the service, process payments, prevent fraud and abuse, respond to support requests, send service communications, and meet legal obligations. We do not run advertising, and we never sell or share our customers' account information. Contact information about looked-up people goes only to the customer who requested and paid for that specific lookup; we do not publish it, offer a browsable directory, or provide bulk lists.
When we share information
- Data providers receive the identity of the person being looked up in order to return a result.
- Service partners that run our infrastructure: payment processing (Stripe), hosting, database, and email delivery, each bound by contract.
- Legal reasons. When required by law, valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of NMBR, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers. If NMBR is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, information may transfer with the business under equivalent protections.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and secure. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site trackers.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights (including rights under the GDPR and CCPA). To exercise any of them, email alex@firstmillionviews.com. If you appear in results, the fastest path is the opt-out form; removal applies across every provider we use. Some laws treat providing your contact information to a customer as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information; the opt-out form stops it permanently, and we will not discriminate against you for using it.
Retention
We keep account information while your account is active and as needed for accounting and legal obligations. Technical logs are kept briefly for security and troubleshooting. Suppression records are kept indefinitely, because deleting them would un-honor the opt-out they exist to enforce.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Unlocked contacts are held in protected storage that is only readable through the account that unlocked them. Access to production systems is restricted. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we design the service so that raw contact data is never exposed before it is paid for and never exposed to anyone else after.
International processing
We process data in the United States and the European Union through the service partners listed above. Wherever it is processed, it stays under this policy.
Children
The service is for professionals and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes and contact
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Questions, requests, and complaints can be sent to alex@firstmillionviews.com, and a human will answer.
